Ledgent is partnering with a nonprofit organization in the Arden area of Sacramento to find a detail-oriented

Accounting Coordinator . This is a

temp-to-hire

opportunity ideal for someone with strong accounting fundamentals and a passion for supporting mission-driven work. The ideal candidate will be comfortable managing both

Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable , performing

bank reconciliations , and supporting general accounting functions. Key Responsibilities

Perform

full-cycle Accounts Payable (A/P)

including invoice processing, vendor management, and payment execution. Manage

full-cycle Accounts Receivable (A/R)

including invoicing, collections, and cash application. Conduct

monthly bank reconciliations

and resolve discrepancies. Assist with

month-end and year-end close processes . Maintain accurate financial records and documentation. Support the preparation of financial reports and assist with audits. Collaborate with internal departments to ensure timely and accurate financial transactions. Assist with general ledger entries and account analysis. Provide support for budgeting and forecasting activities. Help streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency. Required Skills & Qualifications

Minimum of 2-3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a nonprofit or small to mid-sized organization. QuickBooks experience

is highly preferred. Strong

Excel skills

including:

Pivot tables VLOOKUP Writing and translating formulas

Familiarity with GAAP and basic accounting principles. Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Why You'll Love This Role
