Non-Management POSITION SUMMARY Join our team as an Engineering Shift Technician, where you’ll respond to guest repair requests and resolve maintenance issues with minimal supervision. In this dynamic role, you'll perform essential preventive maintenance on tools and equipment and ensure they are in top working order. Key Responsibilities: Attend to guest repair requests promptly and efficiently. Conduct visual inspections and maintain equipment, including cleaning and lubrication. Identify, locate, and operate shut-off valves for various equipment. Manage maintenance inventory and requisition necessary parts and supplies. Communicate daily activities and issues to ensure seamless operations across shifts. Utilize blueprints and electrical schematics for advanced troubleshooting. Demonstrate proficiency in various maintenance categories including air conditioning, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems. Safely perform repairs ensuring compliance with company standards and local/national codes. Implement Lockout/Tagout procedures before conducting maintenance work. Engage with engineering computer programs for preventative maintenance and energy management. Mentor and train junior engineers as needed. Qualifications: Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent; vocational or technical background preferred. Experience: At least 2 years of hotel engineering/maintenance experience, with training in general maintenance and electrical/refrigeration.
