The
Mitigation Lead
plays a critical hands-on leadership role within the restoration team. This position combines field expertise with team management-ideal for someone who thrives on leading by example. You'll be directly involved in restoration projects, mentoring technicians, and ensuring that all work meets the highest standards of quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.
This is not a desk job-you'll be out in the field leading crews, supporting customers, and keeping projects on track. Responsibilities Lead and work alongside mitigation and restoration crews on residential and commercial projects (including water, fire, mold, and storm damage). Perform hands-on work such as controlled demolition, debris removal, and property repairs. Coach and mentor team members to ensure efficiency, safety, and quality workmanship. Manage project schedules, track progress, and oversee job documentation. Communicate with homeowners, insurance representatives, and team members throughout the project lifecycle. Operate and maintain drying and restoration equipment (air movers, dehumidifiers, HEPA filters, etc.). Ensure job site safety compliance and adherence to company and IICRC standards. Qualifications 3+ years of experience in restoration, construction, or related trades. Proven leadership experience managing field crews or projects. Water mitigation experience required; IICRC certifications (WRT/ASD) strongly preferred. Strong communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Physically able to lift up to 75 lbs and work in a variety of environments (PPE provided). Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary based on experience.
