Our client is seeking a seasoned
Controller
to lead their accounting operations and financial reporting functions. This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for ensuring accuracy, compliance, and strategic alignment across all financial activities. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in accounting and finance, strong leadership capabilities, and a proactive approach to process improvement. Key Responsibilities Oversee all accounting operations including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and financial reporting Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls Lead month-end and year-end close processes Manage budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis Coordinate external audits and tax filings Develop and implement financial policies and procedures Provide strategic financial insights to executive leadership Mentor and manage the accounting team Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (required) CPA certification (preferred) 7-10 years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership roles Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls Experience with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills Proven ability to lead teams and collaborate cross-functionally Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary aligned with Nashville market rates Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with company match Generous paid time off and holidays Professional development and leadership growth opportunities Pay Details:
