About The Position Job Title: MRI Tech Profession: Radiology / Cardiology Specialty: MRI Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 8 hours (22:00 - 06:30) Experience: 1 year License: BLS, ARRT (R)(MR) required Certifications: ARRT MR, ARRT R, BLS Must-Have: - Community hospital experience - Epic experience - Ability to work alone or with a new tech in training - Knowledge of Philips scanner - Skills in adult acute care, adult ICU, adult outpatient, ER/Trauma, PACS, preparing and administering contrast media, and starting peripheral IVs Description: 1st time travelers are accepted. Overnight shifts are from 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM. Shifts can be either Tuesday to Saturday or Friday to Tuesday. This position requires 1 year of experience. Candidates must be proficient in using a Philips scanner. The MRI Tech will work independently or with a new technician in training. Basic Life Support (BLS) and ARRT (R)(MR) certifications are required. Experience in a community hospital setting is necessary. Candidates should have experience with the Epic charting system. The patient demographics include adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. The daily census is around 25 patients. Ideal candidates should have skills in multiple MRI techniques and adult care procedures. The position involves supporting interdisciplinary teams and handling a variety of patient diagnoses. Travelers must complete an OSHA respirator clearance prior to starting. Travelers are required to be clean-shaven for fit testing. All clinicians cannot work beyond one year as a traveler without a six-month break.
