Payroll Specialist
skilled in managing
multi-state payroll operations
and proficient in
UKG payroll processing . In this role, you'll ensure accurate, compliant, and timely payroll that support a dynamic, fast-growing organization.

detail-oriented and dependable payroll professional

state and local tax laws, wage garnishments, and payroll reporting
will excel in this role. Key Responsibilities: Process bi-weekly and semi-monthly payrolls across multiple states Manage daily payroll operations and serve as the main point of contact for employee payroll questions Enter and validate data within UKG, ensuring accuracy in earnings, deductions, and tax withholdings Support the transition from Paylocity to UKG by verifying data integrity and assisting with testing or validation as needed. Audit and reconcile payroll-related accounts, including 401(k) and Health Savings Accounts (HSA Prepare, analyze, and distribute labor and payroll reports to management Calculate wages, benefits, and tax deductions Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations and manage payroll tax registrations Handle state unemployment insurance (SUI) filings and assist with payroll audits Identify opportunities to improve efficiency within payroll processes Prepare commission and bonus reports as needed
Qualifications:
4+ years of payroll experience in a high-volume, multi-state environment. UKG experience required (hands-on user or administrator). Prior experience supporting a payroll system transition preferred, but not required. Strong understanding of payroll compliance in PA, OH, and CA. Proficient in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, reconciliation). Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, or related field preferred. Excellent accuracy, confidentiality, and time management skills.
