Are you an experienced
Controls Engineer
who thrives in a hands‑on, project‑based environment where every system is custom‑built? This role offers the opportunity to design, program, and commission fully customized automation systems for a wide variety of applications — from robotics and motion control to advanced integration projects.
This is not template or repeat work — every project is unique. You’ll take ownership from concept through customer handoff, developing PLC and HMI programs from scratch, testing and debugging equipment in‑house, and traveling onsite for installation and commissioning.
What You’ll Do
Design, program, and troubleshoot
PLC and HMI systems
from the ground up (Allen‑Bradley preferred).
Integrate
robots, motion control, sensors, and vision systems
into complex automation solutions.
Perform in‑house system testing and onsite commissioning (approx. 25% travel).
Collaborate closely with mechanical, electrical, and software teams throughout the project lifecycle.
Partner directly with customers to define specifications and ensure system performance expectations are met.
Develop project documentation, test plans, and technical support materials.
Contribute to ongoing
innovation and improvement
in system design and programming standards.
What You Bring
5+ years of experience in
controls or automation engineering .
Hands‑on experience with
Allen‑Bradley or Siemens PLCs and HMI development .
Proven ability to write PLC and HMI programs from scratch.
Experience integrating
robotics, motion systems, and industrial networks .
Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills with electrical schematics and control systems.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact directly with customers.
Degree in
Electrical, Controls, or Automation Engineering
preferred — equivalent experience considered.
Willingness to travel (~25%) for installations and commissioning.
