We are seeking an experienced Systems Analyst for a remote contract in Austin, TX.
Responsibilities: Complete evaluations of existing and future capabilities, conduct research into solution alternatives, enhance system capabilities, and provide advice to stakeholders. Participate in joint application design sessions with customers and IT staff to define business requirements and develop software system requirements. Communicate effectively with users to determine requirements of new processes and applications or modifications to existing processes and applications. Be actively involved in implementations and upgrades in a low‑code platform. Perform system configuration, document business processes, and prepare project documentation with a high level of attention to detail, strong organization skills, and technical aptitude. Use standardized project‑management processes, tools, and techniques to address project needs. Develop test artifacts, conduct testing including User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and develop training documentation for various team projects. Work closely with developers to track defects and resolutions. Perform deep technical and analytical reviews to analyze system functionality with customers and resolve production issues. Assist with creating, maintaining, and enforcing global standards. Perform other analysis and documentation tasks as required to facilitate and support team projects. Assist in the diagnosis of problems associated with applications and write detailed specifications to improve system performance and/or accuracy. Perform other duties as assigned to maintain operations.
Minimum Qualifications:
4‑7 years experience gathering and analyzing business requirements and developing software specifications
4‑7 years experience documenting detailed requirements for IT solutions that meet program and user needs
4‑7 years experience with DB2 table designs
4‑7 years experience with mainframe programming languages (Natural, COBOL)
4‑7 years experience with documentation techniques such as requirements traceability matrix, software design document, software requirement specification, user stories, use cases, data flow diagrams, user interface designs
Demonstrated ability to work with stakeholders and development teams, facilitating productive meetings to formulate business requirements and communicate stakeholder needs to technical staff
4‑7 years experience creating test plans and complex test scenarios in cooperation with business and technical groups
4‑7 years experience executing test plans, assisting team members in performing and completing test activities; coordinating, monitoring, and performing testing, and facilitating UAT
4‑7 years experience identifying, analyzing, and documenting software defects; assisting developers in analyzing and resolving defects
4‑7 years experience writing and executing SQL statements to verify test results
4‑7 years experience with Java applications
4‑7 years experience using Vizio to develop workflow
Thorough knowledge of software development life cycle methodologies
Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively collaborate with business stakeholders and IT teams and function as a liaison between the two groups
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working as a Test Lead for an IT implementation project
