Position Overview: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Associate Scientist to join our Translational Research team. In this role, you will support the development of cell-based models of ALS and contribute to chemical and genetic screening efforts aimed at identifying novel drug targets and therapeutic candidates. This is a unique opportunity to work in a collaborative, mission-driven environment and contribute to impactful ALS research.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and characterize patient-derived and genome-edited induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC) lines and their differentiated derivatives.
Assist in cellular phenotype discovery and screening assay development.
Support screen automation and implementation of high-content analysis techniques.
Collaborate with team members to execute experiments and analyze data.
Present findings to the research team and contribute to ongoing project discussions.
Minimum Qualifications
Education: BS/BA in Molecular and Cell Biology or a related discipline.
Experience: Proven experience with mammalian cell culture and general molecular and cellular biology techniques.
Preferred Skills: Background in neurobiology, stem cell biology, cellular immunology, genome editing, cell-based assay development, laboratory automation, or high-content cell analysis.
Attributes: Strong organizational and communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively on multiple projects.
