About the Opportunity:
Match has an immediate opening for a 7th Grade Science Teacher to join the Middle School team for the current school year and beyond. This position is located at Match Middle School on 215 Forest Hills St. in Jamaica Plain.
Salary range for teachers new to Match is $61,812-98,899, determined by prior years of full-time teaching experience. Match offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes 90% coverage of employee health insurance costs and up to $150/month in loan repayment assistance.
Only candidates with current US work authorization will be considered.
Overview of Role and Responsibilities:
Teach up to four middle school Science classes.
Uphold high academic and behavioral expectations for students, providing support to help them achieve.
Participate actively in Match’s coaching and professional development programming.
Assist with school programming as needed during non-instructional time.
Serve as a positive and collaborative member of the Match Charter Public School community.
Qualifications:
At least two years of full-time experience as a classroom or special education teacher, preferably in an urban education setting.
Meeting teacher certification requirements set by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, or ability to meet the requirements within one year of hire.
Belief that all students can and will succeed.
Desire to continually improve teaching practice through feedback.
Proven record of student success and achievement.
Ability to work well on a team and willingness to support others.
