Product Segment Manager Responsibilities
Lead the product segment strategy for hydrogen and electrolyzer technologies, aligning with company goals and market trends.
Collaborate with engineering, R&D, and manufacturing teams to guide product development from concept through commercialization.
Define product requirements, specifications, and performance targets based on customer needs and regulatory standards.
Monitor project timelines, budgets, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with development milestones and manufacturing capabilities.
Conduct market analysis and competitive benchmarking to inform product positioning and pricing strategies.
Serve as the primary point of contact for internal stakeholders and external partners regarding product segment updates.
Support business development efforts by providing technical insights and product roadmaps to customers and sales teams.
Facilitate cross‑functional meetings to ensure alignment across engineering, quality, supply chain, and operations.
Track and report KPIs related to product performance, cost targets, and launch readiness.
Contribute to sustainability and innovation initiatives within the hydrogen product portfolio.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
5+ years of experience in product management, engineering, or manufacturing, preferably in energy, chemical, or industrial sectors.
Knowledge of hydrogen production, fuel cells, or electrolyzer technologies is highly desirable.
Strong project management skills with experience leading cross‑functional teams.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
Analytical mindset with experience in market analysis and product costing.
Familiarity with manufacturing processes, quality systems, and regulatory compliance.
Communicates clearly and concisely, engaging proactively with colleagues at all levels of the organization.
Anticipates, understands and meets internal/external customers’ needs and expectations; develops solutions based on a customer‑centric approach.
Drives and supports innovative ideas, taking informed risks to seek and develop new or improved solutions.
Proactively identifies what needs to be done and takes action; explores new ways and pursues new opportunities.
