Automotive - General Service Technician / Keyholder
The General Service Technician (also known as Lube and Tire Technician) at Monro is an entry-level automotive technology position and a great way to start your career. From day 1 you will begin a comprehensive mechanic training program covering all aspects of your new role. As a General Service Technician you will be an essential team member performing maintenance services on guest vehicles and helping to deliver 5-star guest experiences while ensuring safe, reliable transportation.
Responsibilities
Keyholder duties: supervise the shop while the store manager is not working, run end-of-day paperwork and cash handling, assist the store manager with their duties.
Mechanical duties: change, mount, install tires; wheel removal, tire repair and balance, tire patch/plug repairs; quick lube duties such as lubrication and oil changes; inspect and rotate tires; basic automotive maintenance such as battery installation.
Training: manufacturer training in alignments, brake services, and scheduled maintenance services.
Compensation The hourly range for this role is $16–$17, based on experience. The position is eligible for additional compensation and incentives.
Qualifications Minimum Qualifications
HS diploma or GED equivalent.
Automotive experience.
Own basic set of mechanics tools or participation in a tool purchase program.
Valid driver's license.
At least 18 years of age.
Positive attitude and a collaborative mindset.
Ability to work with hands overhead, stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
Preferred Qualifications
Automotive Technician or Lube and Tire experience.
