Job Overview
Lube and Tire Technician (General Service Tech) – entry level automotive technician position at Monro. Start day 1 with comprehensive mechanic training and support in shop operations, maintaining 5‑star guest experiences.
Responsibilities
Keyholder duties including supervision of shop, running end‑of‑day paperwork and cash handling, acting as assistant to store manager.
Mechanic duties: changing, mounting, installing tires; wheel removal, tire repair and balance, tire patch/plug repairs; quick lube duties such as lubrication and oil change; inspecting and rotating tires; basic automotive maintenance work such as battery installation; training in alignments, brake services, and scheduled maintenance services.
Compensation The hourly range for this role is $16–$18 based on experience. Eligible for additional compensation and incentives.
Minimum Qualifications
HS diploma or GED equivalent.
Automotive experience.
Own basic set of mechanic tools or participate in tool purchase program.
Valid Driver license.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Positive attitude and collaborative mindset.
Ability to work with hands overhead, stand for long periods, and lift 50 lbs.
Additional Qualifications
Automotive Technician or Lube and Tire experience.
