What to Expect
In this role you'll work closely with the Compliance Engineers.You will assist with product preparation and test, interface with regulatory bodies to plan and executeproduct and component certifications. Support the development and realization of automated testsystems and manage test assets. Install and setup test samples and infrastructure (equipment).
You'll be required to work on ELV, LV and HV systems both within the Tesla Laboratory and externaltesting facilities.Maintain ISO 17025 QMS accreditation, and the smooth running of the laboratory including the purchasing of consumables, equipment and services including calibration management.
A high degree of integrity and ethics are required for this regulatory role.
What You'll Do
Prepare and instrument test samples, execute tests, record, and analyze results on power electronics and battery storage systems
Assist with testing at in-house and local contract laboratories
Support the debug of products and sub-systems
Support the build and test of automated test equipment and peripherals
Rework prototypes and printed circuit board assemblies
Carry out duties as defined by the engineers
What You'll Bring
Degree in Electronics Technology, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, orequivalent experience
2 years + of experience in an engineering development environment, with NEC NFPA 70 experience, previous lab environment
Strong understanding of engineering fundamentals, High Voltage/Power Electronics experience
Strong soldering, electronics fabrication/prototyping, mechanical fabrication/prototyping skills, and wire harness skills
Experience with common MS office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Strong interpersonal and communications skills, and trouble shooting skills
Multi-tasking skills, with the ability to self-prioritize
3D CAD skills (preferred), schematic capture
