We leverage digital expertise, industry alliances and deep domain knowledge from the ITC Group to serve enterprises in Banking & Financial Services, Healthcare, Manufacturing, Consumer Goods, Travel and Hospitality, and more.
Job Summary We are seeking a FEA (Finite Element Analysis) Meshing Engineer with 4–6 years of hands‑on experience in pre‑processing, meshing, and setup of finite element models for complex structural systems. The candidate will work on marine and offshore vessel structures, performing model preparation, mesh generation, and simulation setup using commercial CAE tools. The role requires strong fundamentals in mechanics, machine design, and an ability to translate real‑world engineering problems into accurate simulation models.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and clean up complex CAD data from tools such as SolidWorks, Creo, CATIA, or NX.
Generate high‑quality 1D, 2D, and 3D meshes for structural and thermal analyses.
Define materials, joints, and boundary conditions for simulation models.
Collaborate with analysis engineers to run FEA using Abaqus, ANSYS, or Nastran.
Support post‑processing and documentation of results and best practices.
Contribute to process automation using scripting tools (Python/TCL).
Core Competencies
Strong fundamentals in Machine Design, Engineering Mechanics, and Strength of Materials.
Deep understanding of Finite Element Analysis (FEA) principles and continuum mechanics.
Proficiency in meshing tools: Altair HyperMesh, ANSA, ANSYS Meshing, Patran, Nastran, LS‑PrePost.
Exposure to FEA types: Static, Modal, Dynamic (Transient, Harmonic, Random), Buckling, and Hydro‑dynamic analyses.
Familiarity with global design standards related to structural and offshore applications.
Good understanding of structural reliability concepts is a plus.
Experience
4–6 years of hands‑on experience in FEA pre‑processing and meshing.
Skilled in geometry cleanup, mid‑surfacing, and contact/boundary condition setup.
Knowledge of metal, plastic, and rubber materials and their FEA models.
Experience with structural, vibration, or buckling analyses preferred.
Prior work on marine or offshore structures is an advantage.
Education & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Naval Architecture, Ocean Engineering, or a related field.
Exposure to the Finite Element Method through coursework or hands‑on work preferred.
Excellent English communication skills (oral and written).
Preferred Requirements Preferred candidates with an active or expired security clearance.
