Future Wave Recruiting Solutions, LLC
We’re recruiting for a
Senior Electrical Engineer
on behalf of a leading aerospace OEM designing battery electronics for military and commercial aircraft. This is a hands‑on engineering role with full ownership from schematic through qualification and production—ideal for an engineer who wants to see their designs go from concept to flying hardware.
What you’ll do:
Own customer technical requirements and translate them into robust, producible solutions.
Design PCBs for power supplies, battery chargers and Battery Management Systems (BMS).
Create, simulate and validate mixed‑signal and power‑electronics circuits (SPICE, MATLAB).
Lead PDRs/CDRs, develop test plans/reports and ensure designs meet cost, schedule and performance targets.
Troubleshoot and validate designs in the lab using oscilloscopes, DAQs, DMMs and other bench equipment.
Mentor team members and collaborate cross‑functionally (hardware, firmware, systems) to bring products into production.
What we’re looking for:
7+ years
hands‑on experience in circuit and power‑electronics design (AC/DC, DC/DC, battery chargers).
Strong analog & digital design skills; experience with PWM control, Power MOSFETs and IGBTs preferred.
Demonstrated ownership of designs from schematics through qualification and testing.
Practical knowledge of EMI/EMC mitigation and qualification testing.
Proficiency with MATLAB/SPICE simulation workflows; embedded C/C++ experience is a plus.
Experience designing to DO‑160, MIL‑STD‑704 and/or MIL‑STD‑461 is strongly preferred.
Strong problem‑solving skills and a drive to lead innovation and technical teams.
Why this role
Work on mission‑critical battery electronics that directly impact aerospace platforms.
High visibility, cross‑disciplinary collaboration and clear paths for professional growth and leadership.
Opportunity to own challenging technical work and deliver products that go into aircraft.
Due to the potential exposure to ITAR/export‑controlled information, applicants
must be a U.S. person
as defined under U.S. law (or be eligible for required U.S. Government authorizations).
