The Department of Chemistry, Biochemistry & Physics seeks a tenure‑track Assistant Professor.
The candidate will conduct cutting‑edge research on inflammatory and immune mechanisms and teach undergraduate and graduate courses in biochemistry.
Key Responsibilities
Research and Scholarship : Develop a nationally/internationally recognized research program focused on cellular and molecular biochemistry of inflammation and immune responses.
Leverage advanced optical microscopy, genomics, metabolomics, mass spectrometry, and animal models.
Pursue extramural funding and mentor undergraduate and graduate students.
Teaching and Curriculum Development : Design and deliver undergraduate and graduate courses in biochemistry, incorporating innovative, modern teaching methods to enhance student engagement.
Service : Participate in departmental and university committees and contribute to broader academic initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications

Ability to mentor graduate and undergraduate students.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
