Job Description
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available for the 2025-2026 school year in Long Beach, CA. This contract role serves a K-12 school setting with an emphasis on elementary students, although caseloads may include PreK through 12th grade. The assignment runs from August 18, 2025, through June 3, 2026, requiring onsite presence for 35 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities
Provide speech and language therapy services to students across various grade levels
Manage a caseload typically consisting of 1-2 students, focusing primarily on elementary-aged children
Collaborate with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student communication needs
Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with state and federal guidelines
Qualifications
Valid California Speech Language Pathologist license with ASHA Certification of Clinical Competence (SLP-CCC) required
Experience working with K-12 students preferred
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage effectively with students and school staff
