Position Summary:
This position is responsible for the direction and program management related to occupational safety, environmental management, and the security across our plant in Mesquite. This will include providing EHS expertise and strategic leadership.
Primary Responsibilities:
Develop environmental, health and safety procedures in accordance with federal, state, and local requirements.
Support and manage projects involving environmental site assessment, site investigation and remediation of soil, groundwater, sediments, etc.
Conduct land assessments for industrial, commercial, or residential sites for environmental impact.
Field observation and field sample collection: test soil, water, and air.
Investigate, record and compile reports for environmental-related complaints.
Pollution‑control and waste treatment planning.
Facilitate and support HSE hazard identification and risk assessment in each responsible area.
Identify company safety training needs and develop and coordinate safety training programs.
Assist in compliance reviews, general risk assessments, and other safety assessments with determination of effective controls and risk mitigation supporting Environmental, Health, and Safety management.
Manage internal and external EHS audit programs, conduct Health & Safety inspections, audits, and surveys/assessments.
Communicate actively with government supervision department to ensure local EHS compliance.
Qualifications and Experience:
University degree or above major in safety engineering, or environment studies.
Minimum of 8 years progressively responsible experience in an EHS‑related field, preferably with administrative and supervisory responsibility.
Good communication and teamwork skills, good problem‑solving skills.
Knowledge of ISO 45001:2018 Occupational Health and Safety management system practices and developing, ISO 14001:2015 Environmental management System and ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management.
Strong sense of responsibility, highly motivated, forward thinking, and proactive.
