Base pay range $110,000.00/yr - $160,000.00/yr

About the role This is a hands-on opportunity to lead all

Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS)

activities at a flagship US manufacturing site, building on a culture of operational excellence and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and continuously improve the site’s

environmental, health, and safety programs

to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations

Maintain and update all

EHS permits , policies, and management systems (ISO 14001 and ISO 45001)

Partner with

operations, engineering, and supply chain teams

to drive a strong, visible safety culture on the shop floor

Conduct and support

incident investigations , root cause analysis, and corrective actions

Perform

Job Hazard Risk Assessments

and ergonomics evaluations

Manage and report

EHS KPIs

(recordables, near misses, incidents, audit results) and identify trends for improvement

Coordinate and lead the

Emergency Response Team (ERT)

and

Safety Committee

Ensure site compliance with

safety programs

and annual audits (with support from external consultants)

Deliver

EHS training

for managers and employees, ensuring site-wide awareness and accountability

Support continuous improvement initiatives aligned with corporate safety strategy and local site needs

Qualifications

Proven EHS leadership experience within manufacturing, engineering, or industrial operations (pharma, food, FMCG, or warehousing considered)

Experienced with ISO 14001 and/or ISO 45001 management systems – preferably both

Hands-on, visible safety leader who engages effectively across all levels of the plant

Skilled in stakeholder management, coaching, and communication

Strong working knowledge of federal, Colorado state, and county EHS regulations

Bachelor’s degree in Environmental, Safety, Chemical, or Engineering field preferred (high school diploma acceptable)

Current certifications (Hazmat, DOT 49CFR, HAZWOPER, CPR/AED) are an advantage

Experience in EHS or ERT committees – required
