Position Overview
Office Assistant II provides clerical support for the Alaska State Troopers, C Detachment, Yukon‑Kuskokwim Delta region, performing judicial service, case management, payroll, and general clerical duties. This role offers skill development and preparation for promotional opportunities within the Division of Alaska State Troopers.
Responsibilities
Perform wide range of clerical duties in support of the Alaska State Troopers.
Assist with judicial service, case management, payroll, and general clerical tasks.
Enter data accurately into multiple systems, review documents, process and route court paperwork, and handle payments.
Provide excellent customer service, demonstrating professional and friendly communication.
Maintain high attention to detail and work in a fast‑paced environment.
Utilize Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) effectively.
Adapt to changing priorities and work independently with minimal supervision.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent (e.g., GED).
One year of clerical experience (greeting clients, answering phones, typing, filing, sorting mail, entering data, receiving payments, making change, maintaining logs).
Education from an accredited college may substitute for experience (3 semester hours or 4 quarter hours equals one month of experience; 150 hours of vocation education equals one month of experience).
Regular driver’s license and 18+ years of age if motor vehicle operation is required.
Typing skill may be required; proficiency preferred.
