Job Description Our Cardiovascular team develops leading solutions for heart recovery, electrophysiology, and stroke. This field-based role is located in Boston South, Massachusetts. We invite candidates from any location to apply.
We are searching for the best talent for Advanced Surgical Consultant.
Purpose : Heart Recovery, a rapidly growing medical device company, is looking for a driven and results‑oriented Surgical Sales “Heart Team” Specialist. You will work closely with Surgical Account Managers, Commercial Sales, and clinical team across the U.S. Using our Impella® product portfolio, you will enable physicians and staff to recover hearts and save patients’ lives.
You will be responsible for
Training, educating, and supporting combined CT/Heart Failure programs on the use of the Impella.
Full customer immersion (ie. input on patient selection and subsequent surgical support) within 5.5 sites to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Device expertise and support on Impella to assist with adoption of the full portfolio beyond 5.5 commercial launch responsibilities.
Surgical implant and unit support readiness including training and education at existing sites.
Internal collaboration with Surgical Leadership Team, Training, Engineering, Marketing, Professional Education, Clinical, R&D.
Participation in on‑call support rotation.
Maintain contact with all customers to evaluate clinical and educational needs.
Perform device training on the full Impella Device line‑up.
Provide advanced acumen on the durable, acute, and hemodynamic medical device landscape and best practices.
Cultivate close relationships with strategic business partners and key opinion leaders.
Engage with call points: Cardiac Surgeons, Heart Failure Cardiologists, OR teams, Intensivists, Perfusionists, ICU/Step Down Unit teams.
Qualifications / Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree required; RNFA, NP, PA, or Perfusionist licensure.
Direct 5+ years experience in Cardiac Surgery/Perfusion.
Experience managing post‑op TMCs or durable MCS in cardiac ICU.
Familiarity with cardiac surgery and OR protocol.
Willingness to travel/covers multiple geographies; up to 50% overnight travel may be required.
Prior experience with Abiomed Impella 5.5 required.
Valid U.S. driver’s license.
Compensation Base pay: $125,000. Eligible for a competitive sales incentive compensation program and company car allowance through our FLEET program.
