invites qualified candidates to apply for the full‑time History Faculty position beginning Fall 2025 for the 2025‑2026 academic year. The role involves developing and teaching American History survey courses, African American History, Women in American History, and World Civilization I‑II. Candidates should demonstrate a strong commitment to teaching excellence, student learning, assessment, and the use of technology to improve learning outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Develop curriculum and deliver instruction for the specified courses.

Assess and provide timely, meaningful feedback to students.

Maintain accurate records of attendance and grades.

Meet all division, department, and college deadlines.

Maintain appropriate office hours at times convenient for students.

Attend scheduled faculty meetings and training sessions.

Essential Qualifications

Master’s degree in United States History or American Studies.

At least 18 graduate hours of approved coursework in American History.

Preferred Qualifications

Ph.D. in History or American Studies with a focus on American History.

Experience teaching at a community college.

Demonstrated excellence in online teaching and Quality Matters (QM) certification.

Salary Instructor $58,315; Assistant Professor $64,238; Associate Professor $70,620 – rank will be assessed at the time of hire based on experience and education.
