Full‑Time Faculty Psychology

position to begin Fall 2026 for the 2026‑2027 academic year. This on‑site position requires campus presence and reports to the Dean of Humanities and Social Sciences. The successful candidate will have a strong commitment to excellence in teaching, student learning, assessment, and the use of technology to improve outcomes. The candidate will also demonstrate varied teaching techniques to foster critical thinking, research skills, and the relevance of psychology in students’ lives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Develop and teach undergraduate psychology courses across all modalities, including online, hybrid, and in‑person.

Impart expertise, enthusiasm, and creativity in the instruction of psychology to a diverse student population.

Effectively prepare and present course content, drawing upon disciplinary knowledge, skills, theories, and research to design engaging learning experiences.

Maintain the appropriate number of office hours at times convenient for students.

Provide meaningful feedback and timely responses to students’ work and questions.

Meet all division, department, and college deadlines, including maintaining accurate attendance and grade records.

Attend scheduled faculty meetings, training sessions, and committee meetings.

Perform ongoing student, program, and college assessment activities, including analysis of course assessments and data to engage in continuous improvement.

Minimum Qualifications

Master’s Degree in Psychology or a related field.

At least 18 hours of successful coursework in psychology.

Teaching and/or professional practice/work experience in psychology or a closely related field.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in curriculum development and assessment.

Community college teaching experience.

Expertise using a learning management system such as Canvas and using technology to enhance student learning.

Demonstrated excellence in online teaching and Quality Matters (QM) certification.

Salaries : Instructor $59,481; Assistant Professor $65,523; Associate Professor $72,032 – rank will be assessed at the time of hire based on years of experience and education (pre‑determined criteria).
