The AHA is offering a hybrid
Sr. Manager, Corporate Accounting
position at our National Center office in Dallas, TX (2–3 days onsite). The role oversees accounting activities to ensure records are complete, accurate, and compliant with accepted accounting principles. Duties include preparing, maintaining, and reconciling ledger accounts and financial statements, managing a professional team, and setting daily operational priorities.
Responsibilities
Lead month‑end closing process, including journal entries, eliminations, and consolidations.
Prepare income and balance sheet statements, consolidated statements, and other accounting reports.
Reconcile corporate general ledger accounts, perform variance analysis, and resolve reconciling items.
Conduct analytical reviews of accounting schedules, financial statements, and PBCs.
Support financial reporting processes and maintain general ledger system integrity.
Ensure compliance with internal control requirements, including Section 44 of Sarbanes‑Oxley, and collaborate with external auditors.
Implement process improvements and develop desktop procedures.
Own and manage Capital and Fixed Assets, Leases (ASC‑842), Payroll, and related journal entries.
Manage cash accounting, reconciliation, and reporting.
Coach and develop team members for skill advancement and career growth.
Partner with finance stakeholders and other business units across the company.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Minimum 3 years of relevant accounting experience.
Experience with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes.
Proficiency in General Ledger management, account reconciliation, and GAAP compliance.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
Experience with ERP systems to streamline accounting operations.
Excellent communication skills for conveying financial information to diverse stakeholders.
Proven coaching and mentoring experience with a focus on continuous improvement.
Strong planning, organization, and problem‑solving abilities.
Commitment to maintaining confidentiality, integrity, and compliance.
