We’re looking for a detail-oriented and dependable Accounting Clerk to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to our accounting department by performing a variety of clerical and administrative tasks. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys working with numbers, and values accuracy and organization.

Please note: This position requires 100% on-site presence at our new property support office located in Grand Rapids, MI. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm

Base Pay Range $19.00/hr - $22.00/hr

Essential Job Functions

Prepare weekly sales reports

Record and reconcile company credit card activity

Complete daily credit card deposits

Assist with bank reconciliations

Process monthly journal entries and accruals

Assist with accounts payable

Manage accounting email

Analyze and post monthly inventory adjustments

Assist with closing month‑end and year‑end financials

Assist with special projects as needed

Competencies

Self‑motivated, well organized, and goal‑oriented

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Computer software skills with emphasis on Excel spreadsheets

Strong time management and problem‑solving skills

Required / Preferred Education and Experience

Associate’s degree in accounting or equivalent experience

1–2 years of accounting experience is a plus

Additional Eligibility Qualifications Valid driver’s license and safe driving record – satisfactory criminal background screening required – professional references.

Supervisory Responsibility This position does not manage any staff members.

Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to verbally communicate, listen, stand for long periods of time, walk, kneel, stoop, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds.

Expected Hours of Work This is a full‑time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00am‑5:00pm.
