$55,000 - $75,000 annual salary + bonus

About The Role We are seeking a skilled Accounting Associate to provide accounting and clerical support to our team of accountants and analytical support to the CFO.
Essential Functions
Handles basic accounts payables and accounts receivable inquiries from tenants, vendors and other departments within the organization
Directly inputs rush payment requests that cannot be handled by outsourcing team in accounting system
Handles property management concerns on utility bill payments and contacts utility companies as needed to resolve problems on payment related issues
Supports property accounts in completing documentation for required submissions, or in preparing entries as needed
During tax season, handles filing of final tax return, K-1s and financial statements in appropriate folders in SharePoint
Assist in 1099 filing at year-end
Prepares schedules and analyses as needed
Other duties that may be assigned from time to time by the CFO/Controller
Skills Required
Basic accounting or bookkeeping skills, handling of accounts payable and accounts receivable matters required
Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize work, and meet deadlines
Familiarity with accounting software and property management system
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, or finance related course
At least 2 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience
Knowledge of Yardi, or any real estate software, a plus
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook, and document management software
