In this role, you will ensure our flatbed trucking fleet operates in strict alignment with all FMCSA, DOT, and state regulations. Your efforts will directly contribute to our operational integrity and safety performance through proactive coaching, document auditing, and real-time oversight of compliance functions. Key Responsibilities
Oversee Safety Compliance Specialist
Maintain accurate and complete Driver Qualification files in accordance with DOT regulations.
Oversee HOS compliance using ELD systems; investigate and correct log violations.
Track and collect expiring documents, ensuring timely updates in compliance systems.
Coordinate with Dispatch, Safety, and Maintenance teams on compliance concerns and audits.
Train and coach drivers on DOT safety protocols and documentation best practices.
Monitor compliance metrics and prepare reports for internal and regulatory use.
Schedule DOT inspections and assist with vehicle audits in coordination with Maintenance.
Support other safety‑related duties and projects assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum 7 years in DOT compliance, transportation safety, or a related logistics role.
Working knowledge of FMCSA, DOT, and HOS regulations.
Strong communication and coaching skills with a detail‑oriented mindset.
Proficient in driver management systems and compliance tracking tools.
High school diploma or GED required; college degree or certifications in transportation safety a plus.
