THIS RECRUITMENT IS LIMITED TO CURRENT EMPLOYEES OF THE MDH WORCESTER COUNTY HEALTH DEPARTMENT ONLY.

LOCATION OF POSITION MDH Worcester County Health Department 6040 Public Landing Road Snow Hill, MD 21863
Main Purpose of Job The main purpose of this full-time position will be to assist with carrying out the tasks of the Opioid & Harm Reduction grant. This position will enhance coordination among opioid-related programs and grant funds in the county. This includes facilitation and coordination efforts, working to enhance existing services or identifying gaps in the realm of treatment/prevention of substance use disorders, strengthening sustainability and coordinating marketing & advertising efforts to educate the public regarding programs, prevention education and other related topics. This position will also work closely with governmental and non-governmental treatment and service providers and will coordinate with marketing agencies. Responsibilities include the maintenance of data and information regarding the Opioid & Harm Reduction grant and for submitting all required reporting and documentation.
Responsibilities Job duties include operation of vehicles of various sizes to facilitate community meetings as required.
Some weekend and/or evenings hours may be required and the selected applicant must be willing and able to travel to all Worcester County Health Department sites.
Minimum Qualifications
Education: Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.
Experience: One year of administrative staff or professional work in a health care setting.
Candidates may substitute 30 college credit hours from an accredited college or university for the required experience.
Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a commissioned officer in Health Care Administration classifications or Civil Affairs Specialist specialty codes in the health related field of work on a year‑for‑year basis for the required experience and education.
Selection Process Applicants who meet the minimum (and selective) qualifications will be included in further evaluation. The evaluation may be a rating of your application based on your education, training and experience as they relate to the requirements of the position.
