Lead Platform Quality Engineer - First Dollar (Remote) Inspira Financial seeks a Lead Platform Quality Engineer to drive quality vision and lead software quality initiatives across front-end and back-end systems for the First Dollar business line.

Overview As a leader in quality engineering, you will define and drive quality metrics, gates, and acceptance criteria to align with business objectives. You will establish and continually improve quality standards and foster a culture of quality across the organization. You will partner with Product, Engineering, and leadership teams to influence product decisions and ensure quality considerations throughout the delivery lifecycle.

Responsibilities

Define and drive quality metrics, quality gates, and acceptance criteria for projects.

Establish and continuously improve quality standards, tooling, and processes across teams and projects.

Build and foster a strong quality culture across the organization, including skill gap analysis, career pathing, and targeted development for QE team members.

Share knowledge and mentor other team members, ensuring the QE team’s skills evolve to meet business needs.

Work closely with Product, Engineering, and leadership teams to influence product decisions, challenge requirements, and ensure quality is considered throughout the delivery lifecycle.

Design test cases and execute all types of testing (functional, integration, end‑to‑end) on mobile, web, and other platforms.

Facilitate User Acceptance Testing.

Drive automated testing initiatives across frontend, backend, data, and infrastructure layers.

Produce test estimates for testing activities and ensure alignment with project goals.

Participate in code and test case reviews and ensure requirements traceability & proper coverage.

Assist project team in determining appropriate quality goals and acceptance criteria.

Demonstrate experience using AI responsibly to accelerate development workflow, improve code quality, and solve complex problems.

Preferred Qualifications

7‑10 years in Software QE with at least 3 years as a Test Lead or Manager.

5+ years of professional coding experience in TypeScript, JavaScript, C#, or Java.

5+ years of UI test automation experience (Playwright, Cypress, Selenium).

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.

Skills & Abilities

Experience defining and implementing quality metrics, gates, and organizational standards.

Leadership in test strategy, planning, design, and execution.

Agile delivery experience (Scrum).

Proficiency with test management tools.

Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.

Technical Proficiency

E2E testing with Playwright, Cypress, Selenium.

API testing and automation.

Front‑end technologies: React, TypeScript, Apollo GraphQL.

Back‑end and infrastructure tools: Git, PostgreSQL, Google Cloud, CI/CD pipelines.

Experience with GCP and cloud‑native testing.

AI tooling (GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude) used for prototyping, debugging, and problem‑solving.

Other Requirements

Infrequent travel (≈10 %).

Ability to occasionally work after hours.

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Pay Range $140,000–$160,000 per year.

Compensation & Benefits Compensation will vary by location and experience; bonus, stock, and other incentives may be offered. Benefits include healthcare, 401k, paid time off, parental leave, and employee assistance programs.
