About the Firm Our client is an international executive search firm exclusively dedicated to the clean technology and renewable energy sectors, from next-generation solar, wind, and energy storage to grid infrastructure and e-mobility.
With over a decade of global experience and a strong brand reputation, the firm partners with investors, utilities, and high-growth innovators to identify and appoint leaders driving the global energy transition.
Following significant investment and integration into a larger global platform, the firm is now expanding its footprint into the United States, with Houston as the launchpad for its North American operations.
The Opportunity This is a founding leadership role for the U.S. business, an opportunity to help shape the firm’s presence in one of the world’s most dynamic clean-energy markets. As Director, you’ll play a central role in developing client relationships, building delivery capability, and establishing the brand as a go-to partner for senior-level talent within the renewable and energy transition ecosystem.
You will leverage the firm’s global network, proven retained search methodology, and market intelligence platform to drive growth and long-term client partnerships across:
Renewable generation (solar, onshore & offshore wind)
Battery manufacturing & supply chain
E-mobility and infrastructure
Key Responsibilities
Lead client engagement and delivery of retained executive searches across the U.S. clean-energy landscape
Develop and execute a growth plan to establish the Houston office as a key hub for North American operations
Build and mentor a team of search professionals as the practice scales
Partner with global colleagues to deliver cross-border mandates and sector-specific leadership searches
Represent the firm at industry conferences, networking events, and strategic partnerships across the energy transition space
Ideal Profile
Proven background in executive search or recruitment (retained or senior-level contingent) within energy, renewables, or industrial markets
Deep understanding of the energy transition and a passion for clean-tech innovation
Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to build a practice from the ground up
Track record of client development and delivery at Director or equivalent level
Based in or willing to relocate to Houston, TX
