Ardurra is seeking a
Senior Highway Engineer
to join our team in
Miami, FL . Our Transportation team delivers design solutions ranging from complex multilevel interchanges to urban arterial reconstruction and complete streets projects for a diverse portfolio of clients.
Primary Duties
Process design of multi‑discipline transportation engineering projects, including evaluating alternatives, conducting engineering studies and design calculations, and performing preliminary and detailed design.
Provide technical expertise to ensure compliance with design intent, project scope, and state and federal design criteria and standards.
Develop contract plans and prepare technical specifications and cost estimates.
Assist with project execution and delivery, including development of project scope, budget, and schedule.
Coordinate day‑to‑day activities of engineers, designers, and technicians assigned to specific projects.
Perform quality control on engineering work products such as design calculations, models, drawings, reports, specifications, and estimates.
Assist with marketing and business development efforts.
Effectively communicate and coordinate with internal and external partners and stakeholders, including clients, discipline leads, sub‑consultants, regulatory agencies, and utility companies.
Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited institution.
10+ years of post‑licensure engineering experience in transportation design.
Proficiency in Microstation and OpenRoads Designer and ability to train and supervise technical staff.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project).
Experience preparing final design plans, specifications, and estimates.
Strong verbal communication and technical writing skills.
Strong analytical problem‑solving, time‑management, and organizational skills.
