Join Accelevation LLC as an Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Manager at our manufacturing facility in Montgomery County, Ohio. The role focuses on maintaining compliance with environmental and occupational health regulations, fostering a safe workplace, and driving continuous improvement in EHS programs.
Position Summary The Manufacturing EHS Manager will participate in developing, implementing, and managing policies and programs to promote safety and environmental responsibility. This role involves risk identification, incident investigation, training, inspections, and collaboration with the Safety Team and other EHS managers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Understand and apply OSHA and EPA regulations to the workforce and workplace.
Develop, implement, and maintain EHS policies, procedures, and programs to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
Conduct risk assessments, site inspections, and audits to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
Lead incident investigations to determine root causes, recommend preventive measures, and ensure effective follow‑up.
Provide training and resources to employees to promote safe work practices and environmental awareness.
Monitor environmental impacts, ensuring compliance with permits, waste disposal regulations, and emissions standards.
Develop and update emergency response plans and lead emergency preparedness initiatives.
Maintain accurate records and documentation for regulatory reporting and internal audits.
Collaborate with leadership to integrate EHS objectives into business strategies.
Serve as subject matter expert for regulatory agencies, including site visits, inspections, and reporting requirements.
Conduct employee safety meetings, toolbox talks, and educational workshops to sustain a culture of safety.
Assist in managing return‑to‑work programs and modified duty assignments.
Track and communicate Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
Manage occupational health programs: hearing conservation, respiratory protection, and medical exposure record retention.
Implement industrial hygiene strategies such as noise exposure monitoring and air sampling.
Support safety programs across the facility, including hazard communication, lockout/tagout, fall protection, machine guarding, forklift licensing, and other key initiatives.
Operate powered industrial vehicles and mobile elevated work platforms safely when required.
Travel occasionally to attend meetings, trainings, and site inspections.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Experience and Qualifications
Background in a manufacturing environment.
At least 5 years in a safety manager or assistant safety manager role within manufacturing (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
OSHA trainings/certificates or formal higher education in Occupational Health, Safety, or Environmental disciplines.
