About the Role
The Fordy Group
have partnered with a leading GC in Portland, OR who are seeking an experienced
Senior Construction Project Manager
to lead complex commercial projects in the Portland market. The ideal candidate has delivered large-scale builds in sectors such as
data centers, healthcare, higher education, or public works , and is skilled in full lifecycle project leadership—from precon through closeout.
Key Responsibilities
Manage projects from concept through turnover, ensuring scope, budget, schedule, and quality targets are met
Serve as main point of contact for clients, design teams, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders
Oversee project budgets, cost reports, contracts, procurement, and billing
Review drawings, specifications, RFIs, submittals, change orders, and field reports
Lead project scheduling, sequencing, and risk management
Conduct onsite and virtual meetings with owners, architects, and subcontractors
Negotiate vendor and subcontractor agreements; support owner contract negotiations
Support quality control, safety, closeout, punch list, and warranty processes
Mentor project engineers and support business development efforts as needed
Qualifications ✅ 8+ years of commercial construction experience; PM experience on $25M+ projects
✅ Background in data centers, higher ed, public works, or healthcare construction preferred
✅ Strong understanding of construction documents, materials, means & methods
✅ Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, and project scheduling software
✅ Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience)
✅ Strong communication, leadership, and client-facing skills
