Associate Director Admissions – Events and Programs
Florida International University is a Top‑50 public research university located in Miami, Florida. This position provides visionary and strategic leadership for all on‑ and off‑campus events and programming hosted by the Office of Admissions, ensuring alignment with the university’s strategic enrollment goals and measurement against performance metrics. Responsibilities
Provide vision, leadership and strategic event planning for undergraduate and graduate admissions. Perform analysis, identify problems and solutions, and evaluate results for undergraduate and graduate admissions. Serve as liaison between university administrators, students, parents and faculty regarding university‑wide admissions events. Interpret policies and procedures for university personnel, high school guidance counselors, prospective students and their parents. Work with vendors and staff to purchase and manage collateral including giveaway items, staff uniforms and printed materials. Monitor staff performance, providing timely feedback and training to ensure ROI for all programs; supervise professional and support staff. Assist in the development and implementation of communication strategies including collateral material, social media and email communications. Serve as key personnel in the development of a strategic recruitment plan. Work collaboratively with school districts, career associates and international agencies to ensure ethical recruitment and admission practices. Analyze data to recommend campus tours and recruitment programming. Manage the master events calendar, including budget and schedule for on‑ and off‑campus admissions events. Collaborate with FIU constituents to develop and implement coordinated event objectives. Perform essential duties during emergencies such as hurricanes, public health emergencies or university emergency closures, reporting to work as required. Perform other related duties as assigned or directed. Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and seven (7) years of related experience OR Master’s degree and five (5) years of related experience OR JD and three (3) years of experience. Desired Qualifications
Experience using CRM software (e.g., Slate, Salesforce) to track and analyze event effectiveness, correlating events with enrollment yields and calculating ROI. Ability to communicate complex program objectives and enrollment goals clearly and persuasively to prospective students, parents and university leadership. Extensive experience in university admissions operations, event planning or project management related to student recruitment and yield activities. Experience building, cultivating and maintaining effective partnerships with internal university departments and external constituents. Job Details
Salary: $75,000 – $80,000 annually. Work schedule: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM, with flexibility for evenings, weekends and travel. Required pre‑employment checks: Driver’s License Check, Fingerprinting Check, Expanded Background Check. Other Information
Ability to work evenings and weekends, travel locally, nationally and internationally. Flexible hours may be required. Utilizes university vehicles (all types) for official business. How to Apply
