Senior Director of Learning and Talent Development, Sales

leads the learning strategy for the company’s Sales Organization, encompassing Inside and Outside sales, Commercial Technical Roofing sales and Waterproofing products. This role ensures every learning experience strengthens our ability to drive profitable growth, meet sales and margin goals, identify new business opportunities and partners, and enhance the customer experience through exceptional product and sales education. This role supports cross-functional collaboration between Sales, Marketing and Product teams to ensure consistent messaging, value proposition delivery, and customer engagement capabilities. What you’ll do:

Develop and execute a long-term learning strategy, aligning programs with evolving go-to-market strategies, customer segmentation, and product/service offerings to ensure sales teams are prepared and competitive. Partner with sales leadership to develop and execute learning strategies that directly support Outside Sales, Inside Sales, Waterproofing and Commercial Sales goals. Oversee the design of blended learning programs tailored to the Sales organizations and roles. Develop tailored leadership development pathways and upskilling initiatives for sales managers and high-potential talent within sales functions. Utilize data-driven insights and sales performance analytics to assess learning effectiveness and optimize content, delivery methods, and reinforcement. Lead, coach and develop a team of learning professionals who create engaging and effective programs to support the learning roadmap for Sales. What you’ll bring:

12-15+ years of experience in learning, leadership development, or talent management, with 7+ years in senior leadership roles. Strong understanding of sales environments with direct experience supporting or working in Outside Sales, Inside Sales, or Commercial Sales functions. Relevant experience in the building materials, construction, or distribution industry, with an understanding of the unique workforce and commercial dynamics in those sectors. Experience partnering with Sales Leadership to align learning strategy with revenue growth goals, sales enablement, and customer engagement outcomes. Track record of driving innovation in learning technologies and inclusive development programs. Exceptional cross-functional leadership and stakeholder management skills in complex, fast-paced environments. Recognized ability to build high-performing, future-focused learning organizations. Proficiency with Learning Management Systems (Cornerstone, Oracle), Salesforce or other CRM platforms and a clear understanding of how sales data and systems integrate into learning and performance strategies.
