Grayscale is a digital asset management company founded in 2013 and headquartered in the United States, serving as a leader in the cryptocurrency investment sector. The company specializes in providing secure and convenient cryptocurrency investment avenues for institutional and individual investors through digital asset trusts such as the Bitcoin Trust (GBTC) and Ethereum Trust (ETHE), enabling investors to indirectly hold cryptocurrencies. We plan to open a subsidiary in New York in mid-February 2026 and are currently seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer to join our team! Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is a key executive responsible for managing the financial actions of the company. This role oversees financial planning, risk management, record-keeping, and financial reporting. The CFO provides strategic leadership in financial management, ensuring the company’s long-term growth, profitability, and compliance with regulatory requirements. The CFO partners closely with the CEO and executive team to guide business strategy and decision-making through financial insights and analytics.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the company’s overall objectives.
Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes to support strategic goals.
Evaluate investment opportunities, mergers, acquisitions, and capital allocation strategies.
Provide financial insights and recommendations to the executive team for informed decision-making.
Oversee accounting, finance, treasury, tax, and audit functions.
Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements, reports, and regulatory filings.
Monitor cash flow, working capital, and capital expenditures to optimize financial performance.
Implement financial controls, policies, and procedures to mitigate risks and maintain compliance.
Identify financial, operational, and market risks and develop mitigation strategies.
Ensure compliance with local and international accounting standards, tax laws, and corporate governance requirements.
Liaise with auditors, regulators, and financial institutions as required.
Analyze financial performance and provide actionable insights to improve profitability and efficiency.
Track key financial and operational metrics, including revenue, margins, and ROI.
Develop financial models to support strategic initiatives and business growth.
Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and professional development.
Build a high-performing finance organization capable of supporting global or multi-departmental operations.
Partner with other department leaders to ensure financial considerations are integrated into business decisions.
Manage relationships with investors, banks, and financial stakeholders.
Support fundraising, debt management, and investor reporting.
Represent the company in negotiations with financial institutions and stakeholders.
