Transmission Line Principal Engineer Juno Beach, FL, USA 12 months Overview of the Role: Join a dynamic Engineering & Construction team where you'll spearhead the design management of cutting-edge transmission tie lines for renewable energy projects including Wind, Solar, and Battery Energy Storage systems. This pivotal role offers the opportunity to shape the future of clean energy infrastructure from project conception through successful commissioning.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage the design of transmission line projects from conception through construction and commissioning, coordinating with engineering consultants

Work with Early Stage Project Managers to define project requirements and scope with the Development Group for competitive transmission projects and greenfield developments

Secure engineering consulting resources by developing scope of work, securing bids, evaluating, and awarding work through the Integrated Supply Chain Group

Coordinate with stakeholders to develop routes, support engineering data, and permits, including competitively sourcing geotechnical, survey, engineering, and construction services

Coordinate engineering deliverables for competitive proposals, design and construction including drawings, design criteria, and RFP contributions

Represent E&C's internal and external interests on projects through presentations and briefings on progress, issues, and risk mitigation to management

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Civil/Structural Engineering

Minimum of 5 years of direct experience in the development, design, engineering, and construction of High Voltage Transmission line projects

Strong knowledge of transmission design, excellent communication and project management skills, bias for action, proven analytical and problem‑solving skills, and ability to provide value engineering

Technical competence including ability to understand one line and three‑line diagrams, general arrangements, plan and profiles and other common deliverables

Travel required within North America

Qualifications:

Project Engineering and/or Project Management experience with strong bias for action. PMP and/or P.E. in related discipline is a plus

Proficiency with standard industry tools such as PLSCADD, Microsoft products, Auto-CAD, Primavera and other software is strongly desired
