Climb Bio is a clinical-stage biotechnology company developing therapeutics for patients with immune-mediated diseases. Our product candidates include, budoprutug, an anti-CD19 monoclonal antibody that presents us with an exciting opportunity given its broad potential applicability across a number of B-cell mediated diseases, including systemic lupus erythematosus, immune thrombocytopenia, and membranous nephropathy and CLYM116, an anti-APRIL monoclonal antibody in preclinical development for IgA nephropathy.
At Climb Bio, our team has a knack for seeing what no one else sees—and a drive to achieve results no one expects. We are seeking a highly motivated Sr. Accountant. The Senior Accountant is involved in all aspects of the monthly accounting process including preparation of journal entries, account and bank reconciliations, and financial reporting and analysis to ensure an accurate and timely monthly close. Reporting to the Sr. Accounting Manager, the Sr. Accountant serves as an integral role in the implementation of accounting systems and the development of processes and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
Execute month end close process including preparing journal entries, account reconciliations and financial analysis
Prepare worldwide calculation and reconciliation of expenses related to the Company’s clinical trials
Process payroll and file related payroll taxes as applicable
Assist in preparing support for tax filings
Assist with administration of equity awards
Assist in consolidation of financial data from various systems into the GL and performs detailed reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completion of data transfers
Prepare monthly intercompany calculations and reconciliations
Coordinate and prepare quarterly and annual auditor support for quarterly reviews and annual audit
Cross train with and back up other team members on tasks such as accounts payable where applicable
Cross-collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate accounting of accrued liabilities.
Assist in developing and implementing financial controls to accommodate business growth and maintain operational integrity.
Participate in the implementation of new financial systems and processes to help the department scale for growth and SOX readiness
Support HR with accounting related people operations
Various special projects, including process design and implementation
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent degree program, or relevant work experience
At least 5 years’ experience in accounting, ideally within a public biotech
Advanced knowledge in Excel is a must
Experience with Netsuite, Concur, Equity Edge and ADP preferred
Solid understanding and experience with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Maintains the highest levels of ethics and integrity

This position will be based out of our Wellesley, MA office. Base salary offered may vary depending on the individual’s skills, experience, and competitive market value.
