How You’ll Make an Impact

Define technical SAP solutions and ensure alignment with other modules and integrated applications through cooperation and collaboration with solution architects.

Engage in requirement engineering to decide which requirements are covered by available standard functionalities.

Support validation and prioritization of incoming business demand in collaboration with project owners, business function and unit as well as the relevant functional consultants and third parties.

Be responsible for translating the functional design into functional and technical specifications, review and sign off the functional and technical use case specifications.

Communicate the technical specifications to the developers.

Joining unit testing and support on UAT testing and defect resolution.

Formulate rules, principles, and guidelines to guide the development of technical solutions.

Keep knowledge up to date regarding new and emerging technology and industry practices, bringing learning into HE SAP CoE.

Collaborate with users in projects and problem management to maintain, develop and deploy the best feasible and most‑cost efficient IS solutions/services for the business.

Collaborate with other streams to clarify cross‑stream impact and support the development of an optimized solution from an end‑user perspective, in line with SAP standards.

Ensure solution documentation and training material are well maintained and created.

Consult, give advice and support the installation of new SAP solutions/services, or the changing of existing SAP solutions/services.

Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your Background

Master’s/bachelor’s degree in engineering in Computer science (preferred) or related discipline.

Minimum of 10+ years of experience within the Information Technology industry where 8+ years of solution architecture experience across various IT areas with focus in the areas of S/4 HANA system, particularly and 5+ years of solution architecture experience of global projects in your domain of expertise.

Minimum 3+ years of team lead experience coordinating onsite & offshore teams (Functional & ABAP up to 20 persons).

Practical implementation experience with integration software/tools: BizTalk and/or MuleSoft.

Certification in S/4 HANA, and/or other SAP Solutions.

SAP PP/DS (Production Planning and Detailed Scheduling).

SAP Variant Configuration.

Integration with other SAP modules (e.g. CO, SD, QM, LE/EWM) or external systems (e.g. MES, APS…).

General technical skills (e.g. ability to debug program code).

SAP ABAP programming and SAP ALE-IDOC experience (preferred).

International work experience in different countries/cultures.

Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.
