Summary
Assistant Service Advisor will be a contact for Service Department customers. Primary goals are to provide outstanding customer service while maximizing the sales of ethically needed parts and labor.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities Present ethically needed services and related parts to customers Greet each customer immediately in a courteous manner and Identify customer requests Present multi-point inspection results to customers Obtain customer signature on repair order Conduct a detailed active delivery of each vehicle Follow-up with customers to ensure customer satisfaction Maintain current knowledge of brand specific vehicle service requirements, operations, warranties, campaigns, and in addition Technical Service Bulletins Maintain current knowledge of state and local laws and regulations related to automotive service and repair, including lemon laws Prepare a complete, accurate repair orders in accordance with dealership policies Contact customers to schedule appointments (state inspection reminders, special order parts...) Assist with answering incoming calls and handling internet leads/appointment requests Provide outstanding customer service in accordance with dealership policies Qualifications
Excellent communication and customer relations skills Exceptional organizational and multi-tasking ability Valid driver's license and good driving record High school diploma or equivalent required Prior retail or automotive service sales experience required
Work Environment
The Assistant Service Advisor works primarily at a desk in the service department. Occasionally s/he may work in the service department's open garage area. Works with service customers for most of the shift. S/he may be exposed to noise, vibration, dust, exhaust fumes, and other hazardous and nonhazardous materials. Road-testing of vehicles also may be occasionally required.
