Position Title:
District Bookkeeper Position Salary:
Salaried ($35,552 annual) / Non-Exempt Position Hours:
Full-time; Monday - Friday; 40 Hours per Week Reports to:
Campus Principal and Chief Financial Officer Length of Term/Employment:
220 days / At-will Position Mission:
At the campus level, assist in the attainment of Jubilee Academies' district objectives by ensuring effective and efficient performance of bookkeeping functions by working independently of campus administration.
Education/Certification:
High School Diploma or GED. Pass a typing test for 35 words per minute. Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Demonstrated proficiency in general office management and procedures. Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work as a team member to work in conjunction with the district department accounting staff. Ability to follow oral and written instructions. Ability to work with limited supervision.
Experience:
Three years of work related experience. Work history demonstrating customer service, telephone etiquette, and adherence to efficient and effective bookkeeping procedures.
Job Duties:
Purchasing : Requisition approval. Credit Card Management.
Cash Management:
Receive and deposit cash.
Budget Management:
Funds transfers. Produce Fund balance reports.
Shipping & Receiving:
Receive goods, verify shipment with PO, and notify business office of backorders.
Student Activity Fund Management:
Reconciliation. Verification.
Campus Asset Management:
Inventory. Disposition of assets.
Accounting Tasks:
Post to registers and ledgers. Balance and reconcile accounts. Save and store documents per district policy.
HR Support:
Process new hire paperwork.
Other:
Perform before and/or after school duty as directed by Campus Administration. Attend professional growth activities. Other duties as assigned.
Charter & Community Responsibilities:
Convey the charter's mission to the public and encourage support in accomplishing the mission. Illustrate understanding of Charter and community needs and begin activities to meet those needs. Demonstrate use of productive and efficient skills to raise community and parent involvement. Actively participate in student recruitment efforts.
Charter Atmosphere:
Encourage aa constructive, thoughtful climate for learning. Promote fairness of students and staff from all cultural backgrounds. Communicate with students and staff in an effective manner that promotes and sustains the Jubilee culture.
Working Conditions:
Maintain emotional control under stress; work with frequent interruptions/deadlines; prolonged sitting, and frequent standing, walking, climbing, pulling and pushing, reaching, and stretching.
