We are seeking an ambitious and technically strong Architect with approximately

3-7 years of professional experience

(either soon to be registered or recently licensed) who has robust experience on commercial projects (office buildings, warehouses, apartment complexes, parking garages), strong proficiency in Autodesk Revit, superb skills in code evaluation and interpretation, and excellent schematic design ability. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team delivering commercial building projects from schematic design through permit and construction documentation phases.

Key Responsibilities Lead or assist with schematic design and design development phases for commercial-type buildings (office, warehouse/industrial, multifamily/apartment, parking garage) Translate program requirements into architectural concepts, massing, space planning, and basic system layout Develop architectural Revit models and construction documents (drawing sets, details, specifications) appropriate for commercial permit set and construction administration Perform code research, evaluation and interpretation (IBC, local amendments, accessibility, zoning, fire/life/safety, egress, structural interface) to ensure compliance at schematic and detailed stages Coordinate with engineering disciplines (structural, MEP, civil) and consultants, integrating architectural work with building systems Prepare permit submissions and respond to review comments from AHJ as needed Review shop drawings/submittals in construction phase to confirm code compliance and design intent (as assigned) Participate in internal project meetings and collaborate with project team to maintain schedule, budget, quality and client expectations Mentor or interface with juniors or interns as appropriate; share best practices particularly around code interpretation and Revit standards Maintain current knowledge of architectural best practices, codes, and tools (especially Revit/BIM workflows)

Required Qualifications & Skills Professional degree in Architecture (B.Arch., M. Arch, or equivalent) from an accredited institution 3 to 7 years

of relevant professional experience in architectural practice, ideally with commercial building projects (office, industrial/warehouse, multifamily/apartment + parking structures) Proficiency in Revit (modeling, document production, BIM coordination) Demonstrated strong capability in code evaluation and interpretation: you have actively worked through building code issues, brought commercial projects through permitting, and identified design / code compliance risks early Solid experience during schematic design phase (space planning, massing, conceptual design, early system layout) as well as documentation phases Excellent graphic, verbal and written communication skills; ability to present design ideas and code implications clearly Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic team, manage multiple tasks or projects with changing deadlines Comfortable navigating Houston market code/permit environment (or willingness/ability to quickly acquire local knowledge) License status: either candidate is on track to become registered architect (with NCARB AXP/ARE completed or near completion)

is recently licensed as Architect in Texas (or in reciprocity process)

Preferred Qualifications Licensed Architect in Texas (or reciprocity eligible) Experience with parking garage / structured parking design Experience working on large-scale commercial projects (100,000 SF+), tenant improvements or shell-build commercial/industrial projects Familiarity with other supporting software: Bluebeam, Adobe Creative Suite, MS Office, and coordination with BIM/VDC workflows Experience working with local municipalities / AHJs in Houston & surrounding (Harris County, City of Houston, etc.) Previous experience in construction administration phase
