$80,000 – $100,000 base salary (+ potential bonus) Position Summary The Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for commercial construction projects. This position requires strong analytical abilities, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of construction methods, materials, and sequencing. The Estimator collaborates with project managers, subcontractors, and clients to ensure estimates accurately reflect project requirements and align with company goals. Key Responsibilities Preconstruction & Estimating Prepare detailed estimates for all divisions of work based on architectural, structural, and MEP drawings. Review project plans, specifications, and addenda for scope alignment and constructability. Perform quantity takeoffs and cost analysis using industry-standard estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff, or Sage Estimating). Solicit, evaluate, and level subcontractor and supplier proposals. Develop conceptual, schematic, design development, and final estimates throughout all project design phases. Identify and evaluate value-engineering opportunities to improve cost efficiency and project value. Collaboration & Communication Partner with preconstruction leadership, project managers, and operations to align estimates with overall project strategy. Communicate effectively with subcontractors and vendors to clarify scope and requirements. Participate in bid reviews and presentations with company leadership. Project Transition Support project turnover meetings to ensure smooth handoff to operations and project management teams. Provide cost history, unit pricing, and other data to enhance the company’s estimating database. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience). 3–7 years of estimating experience within

commercial or industrial construction . Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and project sequencing. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Bluebeam, and other estimating software. Excellent analytical, mathematical, and organizational skills. Ability to meet tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.
