We are seeking a Senior Manager of Sales Engineering to join our world‑class team. The Senior Manager of Sales Engineering will play a pivotal role in driving the success of our sales efforts by providing exceptional technical leadership and expertise. Responsibilities
Lead the Technical Sales team in Japan. Collaborate with the Japan Country Manager and the APJ CTO to define and execute the technical go‑to‑market plan for Japan. Be accountable for the business performance of Cohesity’s solution offerings portfolio in Japan. Ensure effective positioning of Cohesity’s solution offerings to customers in Japan. Lead the technical engagement with Cohesity’s channel partners in Japan. Work as part of the International Technical Sales Leadership team to define and execute the technology engagement lifecycle for the geography. Ensure the effective delivery of post‑sales technical services in Japan. Leverage Cohesity’s global technical community (Technical Sales, Engineering, Product Management) to support customer and partner engagement in Japan. Act as Cohesity’s “CTO” for Japan, with direct, senior‑level engagements with customers, partners, analysts, and press. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. Fluent written and spoken English and Japanese. At least 5 years of experience in a technical leadership role, preferably in an IT vendor similar to Cohesity (subscription‑based software/SaaS). Experience in storage, backup, virtualization, Linux CLI, IT infrastructure, and cyber‑security. Additional desirable experience: Disaster Recovery/Business Continuance, Database Protection and Recovery, Distributed Systems, Public Cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP), Layer 2 Networking and Firewalls, Scripting/Automation, Visio or equivalent. Excellent communication and project management skills. Self‑starter with strong organization and time management. Strong collaboration skills and experience leading effective meetings to achieve goals. Ability to manage projects and drive to deadlines.
