Brookfield Asset Management is seeking a dynamic and strategic Senior Manager of Sustainability to join the Renewable Power and Transition team. This leadership role supports the Global Transition Fund Strategy, aiming to accelerate the global shift to a net-zero economy. Reporting to the Chief Sustainability Officer, the role involves cross-functional collaboration with investment teams, portfolio companies, and global sustainability leads to integrate sustainability and impact across the investment lifecycle. This position provides a unique opportunity to contribute significantly to global decarbonization efforts. Responsibilities
Lead the implementation of Brookfield’s sustainability and impact strategy across investment phases. Partner with global M&A and regional sustainability teams to embed sustainability value creation. Conduct sustainability due diligence for potential acquisitions. Manage SFDR and EU Taxonomy assessments and reporting processes. Represent Brookfield in investor meetings and with partners. Define and refine success metrics for sustainability performance. Support the design and implementation of sustainability strategies for future funds. Requirements
7-10 years of experience in sustainability, ESG, or impact investing. Expertise in carbon accounting, climate risk analysis, and ESG due diligence. Knowledge of climate science, impact benchmarks, and reporting frameworks. Success in applying SFDR and EU Taxonomy regulations. Exceptional analytical and communication skills. Bachelor’s degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Engineering, Economics, or Public Policy. Benefits
