Chief Psychiatrist
Hourly, Remote/Hybrid
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatrist to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment for children, adolescents, and adults. The psychiatrist will work in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to promote the emotional and behavioral wellbeing of clients in an outpatient setting. This position offers the unique opportunity to contribute to the development of a new MHOTRS program, with the possibility of also serving as the Medical Director. We are looking for a dynamic leader who is passionate about building a strong and supportive mental health program while making a meaningful impact on the lives of the individuals served. Key Responsibilities: Provide psychiatric evaluations and assessments to children, adolescents, and adults, identifying appropriate treatment plans. Prescribe, monitor, and adjust psychotropic medications based on patient needs, ensuring optimal treatment outcomes and ongoing management of psychiatric conditions. Participate in case conferences and case review meetings Collaborate and provide consultation to the treatment team to coordinate comprehensive mental health care. Conduct follow-up appointments to assess progress and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans. Provide crisis intervention and manage risk for clients with acute mental health needs. Assist in after-hours support as needed Maintain documentation of clinical notes, assessments, and treatment plans. Stay informed of current psychiatric practices and trends, particularly those relevant to the population served by MHOTRS programs. Provide supervision to Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner and other staff as needed. Qualifications: MD or DO with a specialization in Psychiatry. Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Psychiatry. Child/adolescent psychiatry certification or child/adolescent experience preferred. Valid New York State medical license. Valid DEA license. Experience in an outpatient mental health setting, ideally within an OMH-certified clinic. Ability to work with culturally diverse populations. Hours:
Flexible hours, 4 hours per week with the potential to grow Pay : $200.00 per hour
