Pride Health Phlebotomist (Memphis, TN)

Base pay range: $18.00/hr - $19.00/hr. Location: Memphis, TN. Duration: 3+ months. Schedule: 8am-5pm M-F. Pay rate: $19/hr.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform blood draws, label specimens, centrifuge specimens, record maintenance data and decontamination, update patient information.
• Collect and store specimens according to established procedures.
• Explain venipuncture and other specimen collection processes clearly and courteously.
• Demonstrate technique using straight needles and/or butterfly needles.
• Match laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes; label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required.
• Verify all test requisitions or computer labels against scripts for 100% correctness.
• Package specimens for transport and store samples at required temperatures.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of phlebotomy experience required.
• Understanding of physicians' orders.
