The ideal candidate is a data storyteller with a strong foundation in data modeling, advanced analytics, and insight generation, and who can translate complex data into actionable recommendations that shape product strategy and enhance customer experience.

This role will collaborate closely with product managers, data engineers, and business leaders to design and optimize data models, build scalable analytical frameworks, and experiment with Generative AI tools to automate insights and strengthen product intelligence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with Product and Engineering teams to define, track, and measure key product and business metrics.
  • Develop, optimize, and maintain complex SQL queries across large-scale, distributed databases (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, etc.).
  • Build and maintain analytical data models and pipelines to support dashboards, reporting, and experimentation.
  • Leverage Python (Pandas, NumPy, SciPy, Matplotlib, etc.) for data cleaning, feature engineering, and statistical analysis.
  • Design, build, and maintain intuitive dashboards using Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or similar visualization tools.
  • Apply data modeling techniques (e.g., star schema, snowflake, dimensional modeling) to create scalable analytical datasets.
  • Collaborate with data engineering teams to uphold data quality, governance, and lineage across the analytics ecosystem.
  • Communicate insights through clear data storytelling and visual narratives tailored for non-technical audiences.
  • Explore and experiment with Generative AI and ML frameworks (e.g., OpenAI, Vertex AI, DataRobot) to automate reporting, augment analytics, and enrich product insights.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 5–8 years of experience in data analytics, product analytics, or data engineering roles.
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL (PostgreSQL, Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift).
  • Strong command of Python for data manipulation, automation, and analytics workflows.
  • Proven experience in data modeling, ETL pipeline design, and analytical data warehousing.
  • Solid understanding of data governance, metadata management, and analytical best practices.
  • Hands‑on experience with BI/visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.
  • Familiarity with cloud data platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
  • Exposure to or curiosity about Generative AI, LLMs, and AI‑assisted analytics tools (ChatGPT, Copilot, Gemini, etc.).
  • Excellent communication, storytelling, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.
  • Experience working in BFSI, FinTech, or SaaS product analytics environments.
