Senior Manager of Transaction & Technical Accounting
to join their growing corporate finance organization. This is a highly visible position that combines
technical accounting expertise, deal evaluation, and leadership exposure
in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. The Opportunity
Reporting to the VP of Technical Accounting, this role will be the key point of contact for
complex transactions , including acquisitions, joint ventures, and strategic investments. You’ll partner cross-functionally with Corporate Finance, Legal, FP&A, and external advisors to ensure transactions are properly structured, analyzed, and accounted for under U.S. GAAP. seeking a dynamic environment that offers exposure to global deal activity, executive decision-making, and continuous career growth. Key Responsibilities
Technical Accounting & Transactions Provide accounting guidance and analysis on complex transactions, including M&A, dispositions, joint ventures, and capital commitments. Lead purchase price allocations, valuation reviews, and fair value assessments in partnership with external advisors. Research and document technical accounting positions (e.g., under ASC 805, ASC 810, ASC 842, and ASC 820) and draft accounting memos. Support financial reporting teams with SEC disclosure requirements and ensure consistent application of accounting standards across entities. Review contracts and provide accounting implications for key business agreements and new initiatives. Cross-Functional Partnership Collaborate closely with Corporate Accounting, FP&A, Tax, and Legal to ensure financial accuracy and compliance for all strategic transactions. Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, providing clear guidance on accounting impacts for business decisions. Support due diligence, integration, and valuation efforts on acquisition targets and equity investments. Leadership & Process Improvement Supervise and mentor accounting staff, fostering a culture of development and collaboration. Drive process improvements and policy updates to strengthen technical accounting governance. Assist with quarterly and annual close processes for complex accounting areas. Support external auditors with documentation and technical analyses during audits and reviews. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA designation mandatory. 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including public accounting (Big 4 or national firm) and/or corporate technical accounting roles. Deep understanding of U.S. GAAP, SEC reporting, and technical accounting standards. Experience with complex transactions such as acquisitions, joint ventures, and fair value measurements. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-financial stakeholders. Proficiency in ERP and financial reporting systems (Hyperion, OneStream, SAP, or similar). Proven leadership ability and strong project management skills in a fast-paced environment.
